CAMP DAY
The camp day runs from 9am - 12pm. Each student receives at least
20 minutes of riding instruction per day. All beginner riders
have private instruction. Campers will learn to groom, tack up
and help with the daily care of the horses. Topics to be covered
include parts of the horse, equipment used, health care of the
horse, breeds, colors and markings and general nutrition of the
horse. All campers will learn how to properly show a horse in
hand as well as have the opportunity to drive a horse in harness.
For the more advanced riders, campers will cover the basics of
dressage, have the opportunity to ride bareback and participate
in a game day on horseback. Horse crafts will also be available
for campers to participate in. On the final day of the camp week,
a Parents Day will be held for campers to show their parents
what they have learned.
